Taz Duval is a UK-based violinist and string arranger, performing at venues including Cardiff Utilita Arena, London’s O2 Arena, Liverpool Philharmonic, and Cadogan Hall. With recording credits at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios and experience organising strings for shows worldwide, Taz brings creativity, reliability, and a distinctive sound to each project.
Taz Duval is a violinist and string arranger based in the UK, known for blending classical training with a contemporary edge. With experience spanning live performance, studio sessions, and creative collaborations, Taz brings versatility and precision to every project.
Trained at Trinity Laban Junior Department and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Taz has performed at venues including the Liverpool Philharmonic, Cardiff Utilita Arena, London’s O2 Arena, and Cadogan Hall and worked with artists across genres from pop, rock and classical. Whether layering strings in the studio, arranging for ensembles, or stepping on stage, Taz’s focus is on creating music that connects emotionally and elevates the sound of a project.
Beyond performance, Taz is passionate about collaboration shaping ideas with artists, producers, and composers to find the right sonic space for strings. With a reputation for reliability, creativity, and a distinctive tone.
Aside from solo session work, Taz Duval runs projects including Buzzcut Strings, Classical Karaoke, and Girl Band Strings. Taz is also a dedicated educator, teaching privately, working with local music services, and supporting young musicians through Young Sounds.
Taz is currently at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, studying with Ivo Stankov.
